Head of Administrative & Facilities Services
Elaine Cusson serves as the Head of Administrative & Facilities Services for the UConn Library, providing leadership for the Library's administrative operations while overseeing facilities and building services that support library staff, students, faculty, and visitors across the library system. She works collaboratively with library leadership to ensure effective human resources administration, payroll and personnel processes, operational planning, facilities management, and organizational support.
With more than 20 years of experience in operations management, customer service, procurement, and organizational leadership, Elaine brings a practical, people-centered approach to managing complex administrative and facilities functions. She is committed to fostering efficient operations, supporting employees, and maintaining welcoming, safe, and well-functioning library spaces that advance the Library's mission of teaching, research, and public service. Elaine holds a degree in Business Management and is fluent in English and Brazilian Portuguese, with conversational proficiency in Spanish and Italian.
